Positive Review: "I never thought of owning a car
this long. I bought the 4Runner with 40K in 2004. It now has
148K. I did change a lot of stuff, spent about 5K. Still
cheaper than buying a new car. This SUV is still running from
Florida to New York with no problems. I'm running this truck
to the ground. No rust. Paint is great. If you're looking for
a long lasting SUV, look no further."

Note: We had a hard
time finding a negative review for the 2001 Toyota 4 Runner on
Edmunds.com. This is the best we could find.
Negative Review: "I have had only the best experience
with my 4Runner. The only negative thing I can think of is the
windshield fluid spray back. Whenever I have to use large
amounts of windshield fluid to clean off dead bugs or mud, the
fluid flows back underneath the mirror and onto the driver's
side window . This causes reduced visibility of the
mirror."
